Passion to share the good news of Jesus and to live for Him is essential for effective service. But passion without sound knowledge of God and without “know-how” is quickly wasted. This brochure is for those who want a good grounding in that knowledge and who want the “know-how”; it is for those who are ready for the Spirit to harness them for God’s work.

The colleges presented in this site are the current members (both Full and Associate) of the South Pacific Association of Bible Colleges (SPABC). This Association was officially formed in 1969 and promotes fellowship and collaboration among evangelical Bible Colleges.

Membership in the Association is only open to colleges which subscribe to the Association’s statements of beliefs, provide sound academic programs, demonstrate financial viability and responsibility and which seek to develop spiritual maturity in their students.

Although the colleges are united in their commitment to an evangelical outlook, there is a rich diversity in the courses we offer and in the particular goals we pursue. Feel free to browse through this site and you are sure to find a college which offers the facilities you need and the training for the service into which the Lord is leading you.

Membership in the Association is available only to those colleges which meet specific standards. Apart from agreement with the Association’s evangelical position with regard to God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, salvation and the Bible, members must meet the Association’s requirements in respect to the following matters:

1. Stability of operation.

2. Leadership and administration.

3. Financial responsibility.

4. Number and qualifications of full-time faculty.

5. Relationship to the Christian community at large.

6. Resources — human and physical - supporting the programs.

7. Attention to Christian character development in students.

Member colleges are regularly reassessed to assure that the standards of the Association are maintained.

The South Pacific Association of Bible Colleges
is a fellowship of colleges committed to
mutually assisting each other in our central task of
glorifying God by equipping God’s people to live
for Christ and to fulfil His ministry and mission.
