Tabor College Australia is a fellowship of Colleges located in different Australian States. These Colleges are tertiary Christian Education Centres that have the name “Tabor College” and share a common mission, a common vision, common core values, common objectives, a common philosophy, a common logo and a common statement of faith. Each participating college is autonomous with regard to legal, financial and moral affairs and is managed by a State Board. Staff members from participating State Colleges maintain fellowship links through various national activities.

MISSION

The Mission of the College is to provide quality Christian education and training that will empower God’s people to be agents of transformation in the world. 

VISION

The vision of the College is to promote Christian unity and revival, and to be a centre of quality education/training and scholarship for Christians of many denominations, nationalities and backgrounds to equip them for various forms of ministry, mission and service, and to empower them to witness to the majesty of Christ at all times and in all places. 

CORE VALUES

The College holds to the following core values in relation to the teaching and training it provides, and the way of life it encourages in its staff and students: Scripture-based; Christ-centred; Academically sound; Ministry and mission-oriented; Positively expressed; and Spiritually empowered. 

OBJECTIVES

The College operates according to the following objectives: to worship and glorify God, and to seek the extension of his Kingdom; to promote and provide opportunities for high quality Christian education for people from a wide range of Christian denominations and churches through the development and teaching of courses, seminars, tapes, information technology and other appropriate means; to educate and train men and women for effective Christian ministry and mission by developing and teaching courses appropriate to the needs of the Christian church in Australia and beyond; to offer courses that are appropriate to the training and educational needs of a wide spectrum of Christian people, ranging from foundational courses in Christian living to professional courses in ministry and various other disciplines; to ensure that the College’s core values characterise the programs and ministry of the College; to maintain a balance between the spiritual, the academic and the practical in all courses, and to maintain a focus on ministry and mission; to strive for excellence in spiritual, academic and practical areas, and, therefore, to seek always to improve the courses offered; to promote unity and positive working relationships between Christian training/educational institutions; to encourage spiritual renewal and openness to the work of the Holy Spirit in and through the lives of all Christians; and to encourage the exercise of Christian ethical principles.
