Established in 1916 by a returned missionary of the China Inland Mission, Reverend C. Benson Barnett. It is Bible-centred, interdenominational in character, cross-culturally oriented, and community-based. Degrees and diplomas are accredited with the Australian College of Theology (ACT) with the exception of the SMBC Award- Post graduate Diploma. In addition, the College offers focussed studies through its School of Cross Cultural Mission and School of Preaching.
